Who we are

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not request access to any other Google services or data.

We also store the content you create in VA — your typed notes, the transcripts of your voice captures, and the tasks we derive from them — along with the email address you provide if you opt in to email digests. When you record a voice capture, the audio is sent to our AI provider to be transcribed into text.

Some of what you capture are commitments to or from other people. When VA detects one, it may store that person’s name and, if you include it, their email address (the “counterparty”) so it can help you follow up. This is visible only to you. Please only record someone else’s details when you have a legitimate reason to.

How we use your information

We use your information to authenticate you, provide the VA service, send you email digests if you have opted in, process subscription payments, and measure and improve the product (including diagnosing errors). We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate VA: OpenAI (transcribing your voice captures and extracting tasks from your captures), Resend (email delivery), Paystack (subscription payments), PostHog (product analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), and web-push services (browser notifications, if you enable them). To turn what you capture into structured tasks, the contents of your captures are sent to OpenAI; it processes them only to return results to us and, under its API terms, does not use them to train its models. These providers process your data only to provide their services to us.

Sharing commitments

VA lets you share a specific commitment with someone via a private link. Anyone who has that link can see that commitment’s title, its due date, and the name you choose to share under — so only send it to the person it concerns. You can stop sharing at any time, which disables the link.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export or permanently delete all of your data at any time from Settings → Your data, or by emailing jetemiapps@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your data and sign-in, and cannot be undone.

Cookies

VA uses cookies and similar local storage to keep you signed in and to measure how the product is used (via PostHog) so we can improve it. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.

Children

VA is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated by email where appropriate.
